Had such a wonderful day with my mom on Mother's Day. We started the morning with a warm creamy latte from Biggby (my FAVORITE!). We set out to Kensington Metropark and took the backroads for a nice drive on the way there. We stumbled upon this huge tree COVERED in wisteria. It was breathtaking!
At Kensington we hiked some trails and laid in a beautiful meadow as we watched the bluebirds and swallows swoop overhead. The sun was bright and the day was gorgeous.
There were so many wildflowers in bloom. And busy-bodies all over in the woods - woodpeckers, nuthatches, chipmunks...
...so many beautiful birds, zipping to and fro right over our heads as we sprawled out in the warm grass...
We followed up the park with a visit to Bogie Lake Greenhouse, where we both went a little nuts buying plants for our gardens. Now I guess we'll just have to have another mother-daughter day for planting them!!
